This post is completely dedicated to my favorite Hindi Television Show – Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi which turned one year old on February 28, 2017. With Saas-Bahu sagas ruling the Hindi Television space, I used to only watch two types of Indian shows. Either it should be in the comedy genre (Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah) or historical genre (Veer Shivaji, Peshwa Bajirao, Maharana Pratap). But this show just stole my heart. This show has positivity, reality and thank god no snakes or ghosts. With this show turning one year old, in this post I have spoken about 24 times, this show has shocked us, mesmerized us, and kept us glued to become the most ardent fans of this show.
For all who don’t know what all this is about
This show started on February 29, 2016 by Beyond Dreams productions led by Mamta Yash Patnaik on Sony Entertainment Television. A love story in the backdrop of an over-possessive mother’s love for her son is essayed amazingly by Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes and Supriya Pilgaonkar in the lead roles. For youth in India who watch foreign shows like Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Friends, etc…. Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi came in as a treat for us in 2016.
This show despite low TV viewership (same reason: – saas-bahu sagas), went on to become the most watched non-web Indian TV series online. With a huge online fan following, the show became an instant hit. The show during Episode 20-45, the show had an IMDb rating of 9.8 which was the highest for any TV show in the world!!!!! Currently, it averages an IMDb ranking of 9, making it among the top ten rated shows in Indian Television history competing with the likes of Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai, Mahabharat, etc….
Reason: – New story, new concept, fresh pair, over-possessive mother, amazing acting and strong storyline.

24 times this show proved that the fans are its most important asset!!!!!!!!!
1) First Promo
The first time we saw the Arjun of Mahabharat essaying a role of a dedicated son who cannot take any decision which is not liked by her mother. Who says true love exists only between a man and a woman, it exists between a mother and son too….. I am sure, this promo stole everyone’s heart.
2) First collision
Newton’s Third law states that “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. This collision is the best evidence to the same. Their action (differences) made them fall for each other.
3) Holi pe Diwali ke Kapde
Dev has had a troubled childhood because of which he doesn’t play Holi. Sonakshi mistakenly throws a plate of red Holi colour on his suit, leading to a tussle between the duo.
4) Cake story
Dev by mistake spoils the birthday cake of Sonakshi’s mom. He felt guilty of the same. In order to undo his mistake, he struggles to convince the chef to make a customized cake by taking care of his naughty children. I think we just forgot this episode in between the lighter moments of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.
5) The Dance
This episode made all of us mad on this show. This episode was trending on Twitter after its original TV airing. This episode needs no introduction.
6) Light Out
Dev records Sonakshi’s audio clip to fill her matrimonial profile. With no one at home, the light goes off at Ishwari Nivas. Sonakshi is scared of darkness and Dev enjoys for the first time at the cost of the other’s pity. Worth a watch
Remember the Dum-charades game!!!!! Dev is struggling to play the titanic scene and Sonakshi helps him in expressing the movie in his mind by posing very romantically!!!!!!! Who can forget this?
8) Five hour in-waiting date
On persistence of Garib Ki Beti, Ishwari upsets Sonakshi. Dev tries to convince her by waiting for her for the full five hours!!!! The longest any person can wait for a date.
9) Olympic Jump
Dream proposal to Dev’s Love to Sonakshi. Best Part: – Sonakshi’s jump!!!!!!!!!
10) A Man loves a Woman
Two people born in different parts of the world, bonded by one thing – Love
11) No words to explain this
When all the people in the Dixit’s house were away for a function, Dev and Sonakshi spend quality time with each other
During the Neha’s wedding, Dev gives a personal touch to Sonakshi’s outfit with the Gajra which he presents it in style.
Ishwari’s insecurities forced Dev to take a call on his relationship with Sonakshi. Dev decides in favour of Ishwari’s wish to part ways with Sonakshi.
14) Dev Ki Deewangi
“I Promise Kuch Galat Nahi Karunga” – Major turning point of this show!!!!! Both loved each other and couldn’t stay without each other. Complete blend of rage and passion!!!! Best portrayal of Devdas by Shaheer. Hats Off
15) Marriage Proposal
Finally, after all solving all the differences, Dev finally proposes Sonakshi for marriage, which she readily accepts it.
16) First time alone after marriage
Ishwari posed many problems in Dev and Sonakshi’s in their just married life. Sonakshi finds a way out by securing a romantic out-of-city place to spend quality time with each other.
17) Midnight Stroll
Dev and Sonakshi fight over Neha-Ranveer’s marriage problems. Sonakshi goes and stays in her parent’s residence. Dev in-turn goes to convince her to come back home. Seeing them fight, Bijoy throws them out of the house, leaving them to loiter on the streets of Delhi.
18) Elena and Vicky’s Marriage
With Vicky wants to spend his first night in Dev’s room, he makes some excuse to put away Dev and Sonakshi out of their own room. Sonakshi makes sleeping arrangements in the garden of the house. Neha by mistake throws water on them, making the moment lighter for the romantic couple.
After Ishwari getting to know about the fake pregnancy drama set up by his son, she sends the couple to Shimla for a short vacation. Due to differences, they fight with each other to reconcile later. A best example to show that people in love fight over differences and not their companion!!!!!!
20) Prenuptial Agreement
Ishwari’s insecurities finally brought down this beautiful relationship. Prenuptial agreement acted as the final nail in the coffin
21) The Kick
After the Award function drama, Dev is leaving no stone unturned to show that Sonakshi doesn’t affect her life any more. The provoked kick is the best example to prove that no one else other than Sonakshi can influence his life even after 7 years.
22) So-called Earthquake
Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi. To see whether Sonakshi is safe, he reaches his office to find out she is still unaware of the news. In style, he picks her up from the building to the parking lot….. Best scene post leap.
Vicky plans a devilish plot to harm Dev. Sonakshi reaches the spot of the accident to save Dev. But she then realizes she doesn’t know driving. She also claims that she thought Dev would be with her all the time….. No more explanation needed.
24) My all-time favourite
I literally clapped and cried during the end of this episode in my drawing room, much to the awe of my family members. By knowing the fact Suhana is his daughter, Dev is on the seventh moon. A worthy scene to watch on Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi — The makers proved it again that you aren’t wasting your time watching this show.
